Global Warming: Crossing Our boundaries?

Global warming is described as the long term heating of Earth's climate system observed since the pre-industrial period between 1850 and 1900. This heating is recognized as a result of human activities, such as burning fossil fuel, which increases heat-absorbing gases, also known as greenhouse gases, in the Earth's atmosphere.

    Greenhouse gases (GHG's) are described as the significant effectors of climate change and the global warming of the Earth's atmosphere. This toxic air pollution consists of CO2 (20%), water vapor (50%), cloud (25%), CFCs, methane, and others (5%). Co2 contributes about 20% of the Earth's greenhouse effect, and it is said to be the significant temperature effector. As it increases Earth's temperature, this rise in earth temperature then evaporates more water from the oceans (water vapor), expands air masses, and leads to higher humidity, cooling of this water vapor condenses and falls as rain, sleet, or snow.

   Co2 remains a gas at a broader range of atmosphere temperature than the water vapor. Carbon dioxide (Co2) provides the initial greenhouse heating needed to maintain water vapor concentrations. When Co2 concentration level drops, the Earth cools down, some waterfalls out of the atmosphere, and the greenhouse warming affected by water vapor drops automatically. Furthermore, when there is an elevated Co2 level, the air or earth temperature rises, and more water evaporates into the atmosphere, increasing greenhouse heating.  

Since 1880, the average global temperature has risen by 0.8 degrees Celsius (1.4 degrees Fahrenheit) as the greenhouse gases have also been increasing.

 Ocean acidification: this occurs in two ways.  

1). Bicarbonate formation (Direct chemical exchange): reaction of carbonic acid with carbonate ion which results in the Deficiency of carbonate ion necessary for the formation of shells in sea coral, there will be less production of calcium carbonate shells, this then requires much energy from these animals to build their shells, as a result of which the shell ends up very weak and fragile.


 2). The more acidic the water is, the more it dissolves calcium carbonate (shell composition). More acidic water tends to dissolve more rocks, release more carbonate ions, and soak up excess CO2. Acidic water poses to dissolve carbonate shells of marine habitats, making them weak and pitted.

Excessive release of Co2 during Deforestation

 As combustion occurs, it releases excess Co2, Co, and several other compounds into the atmosphere, all of this can result in many health issues. As the atmospheric condition becomes unbearable to some animal species, various animal species' mass extinction occurs as many animals' conditions and natural environments would have been destroyed or colonized. Also, different dispersal of animals in search of food, habitats, or shelter leads to endangerment of wildlife as it could aid hunting. Apart from the fact that it aids the extinction of animal species, according to NASA's report, Deforestation accounts for about 12% of all human Co2 emissions.


Ozone layer depletion caused by Global warming

There are rays known for harming animals. It helps to absorb these harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun, reducing the rate at which harmful radiation penetrates the earth, the depleting of this ozone layer is causing serious health issues. This, however, means as the rate of UV transmission increases, the temperature of the earth increases. UV rays from the sun can cause sunburn. Massive exposure to UV rays can also cause premature aging of the skin and other sun damage signs such as wrinkles, leathery skin, liver spots, and solar elastin, and it can also cause eye problems.  

  Scarcity of food due to soil fertility destruction 

As global temperature increases, it leads to excessive rainfall. Since Deforestation occurs in folds, it leaves the soil with low irrigation as water washes away soil nutrients. However, more sunlight and water should yield much plant growth, but plants need more than just water and sunlight to perform excellently.  


Mutagens such as radiation and infectious agents could lead to different morphological changes in animals as global warming and climate change could result in the release of harmful rays and viruses, which might be originated from changes in environmental conditions
